We cover all of Suffolk
We cover all of Suffolk including: Trimley St Mary, Needham Market, Brandon, Ipswich, Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds, Bures, Leiston, Beccles, Felixstowe, Hadleigh, Bungay, Newmarket, Mildenhall, Woodbridge, Sudbury, Stowmarket, Kesgrave, Haverhill, Halesworth and more.
Most kitchens are designed around what the manufacturer makes. You choose a door style, a colour, a handle, and then you fit what is available into the space you have. The proportions are someone else’s. The storage is someone else’s idea of what you need. And you live with it.
A bespoke kitchen from Turner & Co Bespoke Joinery Ltd works the other way around entirely.
The Conversation Comes First
Before anything is drawn, the questions come first.
- How do you actually use the kitchen?
- Is it the centre of the house or a room you want to get in and out of quickly?
- Do you cook seriously, or does it need to work around children and chaos?
- How does it sit in relation to where you eat, where you come in from outside, where everything else happens?
The answers shape the layout, the storage logic, the door style, the finish. A kitchen that works is built around those answers, not around what happens to be available in a range.
Suffolk properties give us a wide range to work with. The farmhouses and converted barns outside Ipswich and Hadleigh tend to suit kitchens with weight and depth to them, painted cabinetry with traditional profiles and real presence in the room. Newer builds and open plan spaces in towns like Woodbridge and Bury St Edmunds often call for something quieter, where the grain of the timber does the work and the lines stay clean.
We have built both, and everything in between.
What Gets Made And How
Every cabinet is built by hand at our workshop in Ipswich using premium, sustainably sourced timber. Drawer boxes, door frames, carcasses, the internal fittings you rarely see but use constantly. All of it is made to the same standard as what is visible.
The spray finish is applied in our workshop under controlled conditions, producing a result that is more consistent and more durable than anything that can be achieved on site with a brush.
Where the project calls for it, we also build island units, larder cabinets, integrated appliance housing and boot room storage that connects through from the kitchen. Everything comes from the same hands and finishes as one coherent piece of work.
The Detail That Makes The Difference
A bespoke kitchen is not just a better version of a standard one. The details that distinguish it are often small: the depth of a moulding, the way a corner is resolved, the thickness of a door, the grain direction on a drawer front. These things are not available in a brochure.
They come from a maker who has thought carefully about the space and the brief, and who has the skill to execute what was designed. That is what we offer.

Starting A Project
Turner & Co is a family run joinery business that has been making things properly for a long time. Every project begins with a site visit and a conversation, with no obligation on either side. From there we produce detailed drawings and a clear, itemised quote so you know exactly what you are commissioning before anything is committed to.
We work across Suffolk and welcome enquiries at any stage, whether you have a clear idea of what you want or are still at the beginning of thinking it through. Call us on 01473 970612 or email harry@turnerandco.co.uk.
