Bespoke Joinery Ipswich

Turner & Co Bespoke Joinery Ltd design and handcraft bespoke timber doors, windows, kitchens, fitted cabinetry, oak framed buildings and conservatories for homes across Ipswich, Kesgrave, Rushmere St Andrew and Martlesham Heath. Every piece is made to measure in our own workshop from sustainably sourced timber, with grain direction, moulding profiles and proportions considered from the first cut so the finished joinery suits the property, whether that's a Victorian terrace near St Helen's or a newer build out at Ravenswood. We work exclusively in timber rather than uPVC or aluminium, and homeowners across Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and London have trusted us with everything from a single front door to full kitchen and joinery projects, with several describing the process as personal and professional from start to finish.

Area of Interest

We cover all of Ipswich

We cover all of Ipswich including: Bramford, Kesgrave, Claydon, the Waterfront, Westerfield, Ravenswood, Sproughton, Rushmere St Andrew, Woodbridge, Chantry, Bixley, Martlesham Heath and more.

Turner & Co Bespoke Joinery Ltd design and handcraft bespoke joinery for homes across Ipswich, including timber doors, timber windows, kitchens, fitted cabinetry, oak framed buildings, conservatories and garden rooms, all made at our own workshop in the town rather than shipped in from somewhere else.

Ipswich has a genuinely varied mix of housing within a few streets of itself: Victorian terraces around St Helen’s and Christchurch Street, waterfront apartments where the old Wet Dock has been rebuilt into the marina, and newer estates like Ravenswood, built on the former airport site over the last two decades. A kitchen or set of windows that suits a Victorian terrace would look wrong in a Ravenswood new build, so we design each project around the property rather than a single house style for the whole town.

We’re based here, not just covering the area from a distance, so a lot of the back and forth that usually slows a project down just doesn’t happen. Tell us what you’re picturing and we’ll talk you through what’s possible.

What Bespoke Joinery Services Do We Offer In Ipswich?

We design and handcraft timber doors, timber windows, bespoke kitchens, fitted cabinetry, oak framed buildings, conservatories, garden rooms, timber porches, gazebos, pergolas, and cart lodge and farm renovations, all from the same workshop and the same team.

Doors And Windows

Front doors, stable doors, French doors, bi fold doors and internal doors, alongside casement and sash windows. On older streets like Norwich Road and Anglesea Road that usually means working closer to the original panel layout and glazing bars; on newer builds we have more room to try cleaner lines.

Kitchens And Fitted Cabinetry

Kitchens, cabinets, shelving, wardrobes and storage units, all made by hand and planned around how the room is actually used. We design, build and spray finish everything at our workshop before it goes anywhere near your home.

Oak Framed Buildings, Conservatories And Garden Rooms

Conservatories, garden rooms, timber porches, gazebos, pergolas and cart lodge conversions, engineered around the property’s aspect and how the space will actually be used rather than picked from a brochure.

Do You Visit The Property Before You Start?

We visit the property first, look at the space and talk through what you have in mind, rather than asking you to describe a room over the phone. From there we take measurements, produce technical drawings and select timber suited to the project.

Once the drawings are agreed, manufacture and spray finishing both happen at our workshop, and our own team carries out the fitting once everything is ready.

Does Living In An Ipswich Conservation Area Affect Your Joinery?

Bespoke fitted wardrobe and shelving handcrafted by Turner & Co in Ipswich

It can, depending on the property. Ipswich Borough Council’s conservation areas guidance confirms that altering or replacing features on a property within one of the borough’s 15 conservation areas, including St Helen’s, Christchurch Street and the Wet Dock, needs to be sympathetic to the area’s character, and in some cases requires consent before work starts.

Properties outside those boundaries have more flexibility, though getting the size and proportions right still makes the biggest difference to how the finished piece looks and performs.

Why Choose Turner & Co For Joinery In Ipswich?

Because one workshop covers the full range, doors, windows, kitchens, cabinetry and outdoor timber structures, so you’re dealing with one point of contact rather than coordinating separate trades. On top of that, every piece starts from premium, sustainably sourced timber, chosen specifically for the project rather than pulled from generic stock.

And because we make everything to the exact opening or space from the start, nothing needs adjusting from a standard size once it arrives.
