Turner & Co Bespoke Joinery Ltd are Bury St Edmunds’ trusted, detail driven and build focused bespoke joinery specialists. Every piece Turner & Co makes for a Bury St Edmunds home is built to measure in their Ipswich workshop, finished before it leaves and designed around the property rather than a standard template.
Bury St Edmunds sits at the heart of West Suffolk, a district with 48 conservation areas and over 2,900 listed buildings. From the market town’s Victorian and Edwardian terraces to the barn conversions and rural farmhouses in villages like Horringer, Great Barton and Fornham All Saints, each property has its own proportions and character. We take that into account from the first conversation, designing each piece of joinery around the building it is going into.

What Can Turner & Co Make For Your Home In Bury St Edmunds?
Turner & Co handcraft the full range of timber joinery for homes in Bury St Edmunds and across West Suffolk. Every service is carried out in timber only, with no uPVC or aluminium alternatives on offer.
Our timber doors include front doors, stable doors, bifold doors, French doors and internal doors, each designed and built to your exact specifications. For windows, we produce casement windows, box sash windows and spring sash windows, suited to both period and contemporary properties. We also design and build bespoke timber kitchens, fitted cabinetry and storage solutions, oak framed conservatories and garden rooms, timber porches, gazebos and pergolas, and we carry out cart lodge and farm renovation work.
Each piece begins with a conversation about your property, its architecture and how you want the finished joinery to work. There are no standard sizes or pre-set configurations. Every frame, door and fitting is made to order.
For more on what West Suffolk’s conservation designations mean for property owners planning joinery work, the West Suffolk Council planning pages set out the local requirements in full.

How Does Turner & Co Approach Each Joinery Project?
All joinery is manufactured at our workshop in Ipswich, Suffolk. We source timber sustainably, working directly with local woodlands and farms where possible to select material suited to the specific demands of each project, particularly for oak framed work where grain and structural character matter.
Once in the workshop, every piece is machined, fabricated and finished by hand. All doors and windows are spray finished before leaving, ensuring a consistent, weather rated finish on every piece.
What Do Customers Say About Turner & Co?

Turner & Co work the same way on every project: designed around the property, built in timber, finished in the workshop before anything leaves. That process applies whether the job is a single window replacement or a full house installation. Here’s what a couple of our customers had to say about working with us.
